Ready for the LIQUI MOLY Moto GP event of the year

16 June 2023

Passion, euphoria from hundreds of thousands of fans and three days of endless racing action - that's Sachsenring! For the LIQUI MOLY Husqvarna Intact GP team, it's all about putting on the best show of the year in front of their home crowd at the LIQUI MOLY Grand Prix of Germany from June 16 - 18.

First and foremost the local hero Lukas Tulovic. For last year's Moto2 European champion, the Sachsenring is not an unfamiliar track. The 23-year-old German is hoping for a clear home advantage and is also relying on the experience of his crew, which was able to claim fourth place last year with Marcel Schrötter.

South African Darryn Binder is at least as motivated. The 25-year-old wants to push on with the progress he has made on the 3.67km track, which is thus the shortest on the race calendar!

In Moto3, Ayumu Sasaki is hoping for another success in Sunday's 23-lap race. The success-hungry Japanese rider finished the 2022 German Grand Prix in fourth place and is now aiming for triumph at his team's home race after narrowly missing out on several victories. The 22-year-old is a self-confessed fan of the unusual layout at the Sachsenring, which is home to the longest left-hand bend in the world.

It goes around to the left no less than seven times in a row before a fast right-hand bend follows with turn 11. Its maximum gradient of 10 percent and gradient of 12.8 percent make the Sachsenring one of the most demanding tracks on the MotoGP calendar in terms of riding, and yet even Moto3 rookie Collin Veijer can hardly wait to get to the start.
